The traditional craft mark certificate sticker is attached.Introduced below are the traditional artcrafts of Fukuoka Prefecture designated as such by the Minister of International Trade and Industry.
 
Hakata-ori Textile

Hakata-ori products also have the traditional craft mark attached. While preserving the tradition of seven and a half centuries, Hakata-ori continues to make advancements in line with the changes in the 21st century.
  Hakata Dolls

400 years of history and tradition are well reflected in the works of nearly 100 artists. Motifs include figures and scenes chosen from classical literature, good luck talisman, traditional performing art and some trends of the times.

 
Kurume-gasuri Textile

The white splashed pattern on the indigo blue base creates a vivid and tasteful contrast. The technique and process were developed by a young girl in the early 19th century and promoted by the then feudal clan of the Kurume domain.
Koishiwara Ware

Koishiwara earthenware is known for its simple and dynamic style. It won a prize in the International Craft Art Exhibition and the potters are proud of the recognition and popularity of their artistic efforts.
 
Yame-Fukushima Buddhist Household Alters


The production of Buddhist family alters in the Yame-Fukushima area started in 1821, when a local cabinetmaker tried to reproduce the sublime, ostentatious but elegant temple he saw in a dream. The alter production tradition has been passed down to this day.
  Agano Ware

Agano earthenware was started about 400 years ago by Sonkai from Pusan in Korea of the Rhee Dynasty. Agano Ware developed as the designated kiln and purveyor to the feudal clan of the Kokura domain.
